David Moyes sent off as Newcastle draw Hull and Sunderland concentrate on relegation
It is Hull v Newcastle sometime in week starting Monday 28 November.
Wednesday night’s draw saw Newcastle avoid Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool, West Ham and Southampton, instead landing a Tigers side who are nosediving back to the Championship.
After beating Swansea and Leicester in their opening two matches, Hull have really struggled, with five straight PL defeats, although they won 2-1 at Bristol City on Tuesday night to seal their place in the last eight of the League Cup.
The only other club not in the Premier League, Leeds United, were drawn away at Liverpool, whilst Manchester United are at home to West Ham.
When it came to the last four clubs in the pot, Newcastle could have drawn Arsenal, Southampton or Hull City.
The Mackems imploded on Wednesday night, losing 1-0 away at Southampton, with Manager David Moyes sent off.
Sunderland meanwhile face Arsenal on Saturday with seven defeats and two draws, with tonight’s Cup defeat enabling them to instead concentrate on getting relegated from the Premier League.
