Vurnon Anita has been named in the provisional 29 man squad, ahead of Holland’s matches against Belarus and France.
The Dutch play World Cup qualifiers at home to Belarus on 7 October 2016 and France on 10 October 2016.
Vurnon Anita has been in outstanding form for Newcastle at right-back and is the only outfield player to have started all eight Championship games so far.
Whilst former teammate Gini Wijnaldum and a host of other Premier League players are named, there is one name missing.
Daryl Janmaat gave his international football prospects as one of the deserving reasons for him to leave Newcastle but he has not been named in this 29 man squad.
Janmaat was reported to have picked up a knock in the win against Manchester United.
