Matt Ritchie and Grant Hanley get call up
Newcastle players Grant Hanley and Matt Ritchie have been called up by Scotland for the next round of international fixtures.
The Scots face Lithuania in a home world cup qualifier on Saturday 8 October, before travelling to Slovakia on Tuesday 11 October for an away one.
Grant Hanley has been a peripheral figure so far at St James Park but Matt Ritchie has proved to be an inspired but for United.
As well as being NUFC’s most creative player and biggest threat, stats yesterday showed that Matt Ritchie also features in the top 10 Championship players who have put in the most tackles so far this season.
Looking further ahead, there will be keen interest all round in the following international window, with Ritchie, Hanley and their teammates taking on England at Wembley on Friday 11 November.
