Ian Holloway predicts Newcastle v Wolves

Ian Holloway has been casting his eye over this Saturday’s match at St James Park.

On Tuesday night both Newcastle and Wolves fans saw plenty of goals, United’s players scoring six at Loftus Road, whilst the supporters in black and gold were suffering a four goal home loss against Barnsley.

The Championship is a league that constantly throws up surprises and whilst Ian Holloway doesn’t expect the kind of dramatic scoreline many neutrals may expect if they look at those last results, he does still see it as a home victory.

Describing it as a ‘home banker’, the manager turned pundit has predicted a 2-0 win to Newcastle, which if it turns out to be the case, would mean a seventh win on the bounce and a sixth clean sheet in a row.

Holloway says that ‘everything is rocking and rolling at the minute’ for Newcastle United and whilst he has gone for a two goal home win, he doesn’t dismiss the chances of it potentially being far worse than that for the visitors..

Ian Holloway speaking to Sky Sports:

“This is a banker of a home win.

“Wolves just lost 4-0 at home to Barnsley and they are travelling to Newcastle, where everything is rocking and rolling at the minute, and it could even be more than that.”

Amongst his other predictions, Ian Holloway has gone for Aston Villa to lose 1-0 at Ipswich, plus Huddersfield to win at home 2-1 to QPR – a result that would keep Huddersfield at the top of the table regardless of what happens at St James Park.
