Phil Thompson gives Newcastle a helping hand

Phil Thompson has stepped in to give Newcastle United a helping hand.

The TV pundit and former Liverpool Captain, is pushing Jurgen Klopp to make Moussa Sissoko his next signing.

Phil Thompson says he would ‘love to see Moussa Sissoko in a Liverpool shirt soon’ and I can imagine plenty of Newcastle fans nodding their heads vigorously in agreement.

The Sky Sports ‘expert’ describes the Newcastle midfielder as ‘athletic, makes tackles, and is very pacey’, not so sure about the tackling bit but one out of two (well athletic/pacey are much the same thing..) isn’t bad.

As for how he sees Sissoko fitting into the Liverpool team, Phil Thompson thinks he would be ideal as a holding midfield player alongside Emre Can.

Sounds like a plan – get him in a taxi to Anfield and send the £35m by return ASAP!

Phil Thompson:

“I would love to see Moussa Sissoko in a Liverpool shirt soon.

“He was fantastic in the Euros.

“He is athletic, makes tackles, and is very pacey.

“I’d play him and (Emre) Can, holding/breaking up play.”
