Joe Kinnear responds to Newcastle’s first win of the season

Joe Kinnear has been quick to react to Newcastle’s first win of the season.

Following the 4-1 victory over Reading, JFK says he was pleased to see his old club get the win and reckons ‘watch them go now’.

Joe Kinnear was of course manager and then Director of Football, remarkably not buying a single player over a full season in his later job.

Kinnear joined Twitter on the same day that Newcastle kicked off their Championship season at Fulham.

His first proper message being to hope that Newcastle ‘have a swift return to the Premier League’.

Two weeks later and he has managed to keep his messages a swear free zone…so far.

A number of his mentions relating to Newcastle United (to follow him on Twitter go to @Joe_Kinnear2):

Before kick-off at Fulham:

‘Wishing the best of luck to NUFC tonight in their first game of the EFL season. I hope they have a swift return to the Premier League. ‘

‘Somebody let me know how to turn off notifications! Phone has gone crazy!’

‘Unbelievable 1000 followers already. Hope I can keep you all entertained!’

‘I’ve had a lot of mentions of Kebabs, can anyone recommend me a good one in London?’

After Newcastle 4 Reading 1:

‘Pleased that NUFC are up and running watch them go now!’
