Alan Pardew asks Crystal Palace bosses to buy Moussa Sissoko – Reports
Alan Pardew has told the Crystal Palace hierarchy that he wants Moussa Sissoko, according to a breaking story today.
The midfielder has been linked with his former manager in the past, along with many others in the Newcastle squad, but the Guardian say that this time it is more than speculation.
After selling Yannick Bolasie to Everton for a fee of £25m, a figure which could eventually top £30m, Alan Pardew is claimed to want Moussa Sissoko as a statement of intent signing.
Starting the season with a 1-0 home defeat to West Brom and only a couple of weeks left before the transfer window closes, Pardew is desperate to strengthen his squad.
Talking of desperate…Moussa Sissoko stated two months ago that he had no intention of hanging around at relegated Newcastle United, yet to date there are no reports of any concrete offers.
Last week saw Sissoko give his latest interview begging Real Madrid to come in for him, only for Spanish publication Marca to claim that they’d been told by people inside the Spanish giants that Real had never been interested in the Newcastle player.
At Saturday’s match Moussa Sissoko was the subject of much abuse from fans when he was spotted amongst the crowd at St James Park, the French international having seemingly made it impossible for him to play again for Newcastle even if he wanted to.
A solution needs to be found for everybody to move on and if Moussa Sissoko ends up at Selhurst Park with Alan Pardew then plenty of people will see the funny side of it, though maybe not the player himself…
