Is Fat Sham seriously the best England can do?
After watching England’s prima donnas, it looked all too familiar to me, a talented bunch going through the motions but lacking any real desire to win…last season with Newcastle United.
Roy Hodgson, after making me sit through such drab and boring football, at last left. This is a man who should have never got the job in the first place, the only reason is that like previous managers he was a yes man who wouldn’t complain about the hand he was given. Oh and he was English!
So to our next national manager and it seems they tried passing it on to another failed Middlesbrough manager in Gareth Southgate. As he was found out in club management, he must have known he would be found out on the international stage and said no.
The only English manager in contention seems to be Fat Sham – it seems keeping a club up simply by virtue of the teams around them being even worse, is the kind of quality/achievement that the FA want to see in their next manager.
Imagine his first match; Hart hoofs the ball to Carroll, who heads it back to a midfielder, who then hoofs it into the opposition box.
We subsequently lose the ball, goes for a goal-kick to the opposition. Repeat until my eyes bleed.
It seems the FA is ran by the same idiots who ran the asylum at St James Park, lowering expectations and quality until they hope we don’t care.
It would be nice to have Eddie Howe do it on a part-time basis, or some other up and coming manager.
Until then I guess I am Icelandic!
