Steven Taylor will officially leave Newcastle United at the end of the month when his contract comes to an end.
When talking about his imminent departure and the highs and lows of his years at St James Park, Taylor said that he was sad to leave but excited about the offers he had already had from home and abroad.
There have been claims that both Hull and Brighton are keen on the United defender and Sky Sports stated that he had scheduled talks with Rangers as well.
Not sure if Glasgow would count as ‘abroad’ but another club he is claimed to have talks lined up with, is definitely abroad.
The Scottish Sun says that Steven Taylor is due to meet Fenerbahce officials tomorrow (Tuesday) to discuss a possible deal.
The Turkish club finished second to Besiktas and ended up in one of the Champions League qualifying spots, Fenerbahce needing to win a third qualifying round tie if they are to progress to the group stage.
It will of course be interesting to see where he ends up but the potential of Steven Taylor in the Champions League whilst Newcastle drop into the Championship, would be one of the more surreal outcomes imaginable.
