Ronald Koeman has at last been confirmed as the new Everton Manager and with the Premier League fixtures published today, the former Southampton boss is said to be ready to move quickly on transfer targets he has already identified.
Gini Wijnaldum has once again been widely reported as a target for Koeman as he attempts to revitalise Everton after a poor disjointed season, where many name players failed to deliver.
As well as Wijnaldum, the new manager is also keen on bringing another of his fellow countrymen, Tim Krul, to Goodison Park according to both the national (Guardian and Express) and local Merseyside press.
Krul is on target to join in with pre-season training after his long-term injury but with only one year left on his contract, Newcastle fans are waiting to see whether he will be offered a new deal or be seen as expendable, with both Elliot and Darlow impressing in his absence.
With Tim Howard moving on, Joel Robles is the current number one at Everton but hasn’t totally convinced that he is the answer as first choice.
One other Dutch Newcastle player who could potentially interest Ronald Koeman is Daryl Janmaat. The Everton boss signed him when in charge at Feyenoord and Janmaat played under him for two years as first choice right-back, before Koeman exited for Southampton in June 2014, a month before Janmaat made the move to Tyneside.
Everton do have the excellent Seamus Coleman but he did have injury problems last season.
