Rafa Benitez and 4 former Newcastle managers in next England Manager betting

The next England Manager betting makes interesting reading, particularly for Newcastle fans.

Including Rafa Benitez, five Newcastle Managers, past and present, feature in the odds offered after Roy Hodgson resigned.

Just in case you missed it, after being gifted the lead through a soft penalty after only five minutes, England managed to still get beat by Iceland and exit the Euros.

Even worse, the Iceland team drawn almost exclusively from the lower leagues of European football, also looked the better team – this was no fluke.

So how to fix it?

At a hastily arranged press conference today when Roy Hodgson embarrassingly declared  ‘I don’t know what I am doing here, I thought my statement yesterday was sufficient,,,’, the FA’s Chief Executive Martin Glenn stated that they are ‘looking for the best person for the job rather than best Englishman’.

This has led to speculation on a number of foreign managers (quite ironic considering the Brexit vote), with Arsene Wenger talked about by some, whilst Rafa Benitez has been the subject of some debate as well.

The bookies include both Arsene Wenger (25/1) and Rafa Benitez (33/1) in their next England Manager betting, with BetVictor including another four former Newcastle managers.

These are the top seven in the betting, plus selected others, to see the full list of potential England managers go HERE.
