We must stand United

Newcastle United – an owner true to his word provided money to spend, but entrusts a clueless CEO, who employs a Head Coach that took a top of the table side in Derby and failed to get them promoted (let alone being remembered as the Wally with the Brolly).

Gives him a footballing diamond still in the rough after so many trophy-less years and tasks him with a top eight finish in the Premier League and to WIN a Cup, He Was out of his depth before the ink had even been penned on the contract.

£80million Spent and after 9 months in the job = Newcastle United in the Bottom three.

Desk cleared, car keys and Benton training ground Exchanged For His P45.

Then finally our CEO gave us Rafa Benitez, a manager fit to occupy the seat warmed by two greats In Sir Bobby And King Kev that took us to the verge of winning titles – but sadly those circumstances were very different.

Rafa gave us all renewed belief that maybe, just maybe, there was a way out. He got players performing again and new leaders found, a togetherness not seen all season.

But sadly, not given enough time to work his Spanish magic.

A huge mistake by the custodians of our great club not to change sooner and we will all suffer because of it. They must do all in their power to keep Rafa, give him what he wants and provide him with the support, help make up for years of disappointment.

However, we must stand United and carry on dreaming and believing, fighting, never give up and never surrender

Newcastle United fans are the heartbeat of this club and we support through the highs and lows, home and away.

We may be down but we are not out, United by black and white forever.
