Newcastle United have brought in Filip Dmitrovic on trial.
Turning 21 in July, the young goalkeeper plays for SK Austria Klagenfurt in the second tier of Austrian football.
The Serbian keeper has represented his country at Under 20 level and recently spent a spell at PSV Eindhoven on a trial, with the Dutch club eventually deciding not to go ahead with a transfer.
Over in Holland, Soccer News report that Filip Dmitrovic has now moved on to Newcastle United so that they can have a look at the 20 year old on trial, with a view to a permanent deal if it works out.
Newcastle United’s goalkeeping situation is confused at present, with both Rob Elliot and Tim Krul long-term injured and Karl Darlow currently having stepped up and doing well.
Freddie Woodman is on bench duty at the minute for Newcastle but there have been a number of reports claiming he could be snapped up in the summer by a rival Premier League club.
