Call it wishful thinking but…
Call it wishful thinking but I’m hoping we absolutely muller Crystal Palace (every goal we score against them counts as two) and that they don’t get a point off Stoke or Southampton.
Realistically, I feel Newcastle will beat Crystal Palace, as will Southampton.
So it is down to lots of goals and Stoke winning away at Selhurst Park, both very unlikely but a remote possibility.
Plus it is about time we mullered somebody, in the style of Sheffield Wednesday (8-0 Sir Bobby/Shearer) – who better than Pardew’s Crystal Palace and I’d love it etc.
The other hopeful option, slightly more realistic, is 3 wins for us and no more than two for the Cats & Canaries.
As the table stands now:
Crystal Palace (Played 35) 39 points GD -9
Sunderland (Played 34) 31 points GD -18
Norwich (Played 35) 31 points GD -25
Newcastle (Played 35) 30 points GD -26
Remaining fixtures:
Crystal Palace have:
Newcastle (A), Stoke (H), Southampton (A)
Newcastle have:
Palace (H), Villa (A), Spurs (H)
Norwich have:
Arsenal (A), Man Utd (H), Watford (H), Everton (A)
Sunderland:
Stoke (A), Chelsea (H), Everton (H), Watford (A)
