Newcastle fans just about clinging on to this

Well what to write about…

I thought long and hard about the SAFC contribution to the Adam Johnson affair, and their pathetic attempt to justify why they bought him back into the fold while awaiting trial. Hogwash, total hogwash, fact is they were desperate, desperate to avoid relegation at any cost, he then contributed to their successful fight against relegation (last season), including a last minute winner up here!

So I guess bringing him back was fully justified…

Sorry SAFC, I don’t buy your statement and many others will agree with me, I simply smell a huge SAFC sized rat.

Speaking of desperation, what about Newcastle at Stoke; dreadful tactics, dreadful team selection, and inept effort from some of the players.

There has been and will be many more words written about McClaren and his choices on Wednesday night, but Newcastle fans saw a team with no fight, a manager with no ideas and fans with no hope.

Just where do we go from here?

Well if Wednesday night is anything to go by, the only way is down, simple as that. Villa are gone, and two of Newcastle, Sunderland and Norwich will follow.

We are favourites to go down simply because the other two have some fight.

Norwich conceding two against Chelsea nearly came back to get something, Sunderland it has to be said have players fighting for the cause, our lot….well one or two are above criticism but the rest………pah!

So, it’s Bournemouth next and three points is a must, there can’t be anything less, can we beat them? On  the evidence of the latest defeat I would suggest not. Bournemouth are a team who fight for each other and play neat football, I won’t lie – I’m already nervous because defeat in my eyes is likely, it is also too horrible to contemplate.

I have always been a glass half full sort of person when it comes to NUFC but this season is one step too far. Ashley promised it would never happen again, a cup and top 4 being targets, well he has again overseen another desperate season of dismay and disappointment.

I want to be positive, I want to go on Saturday knowing the players will turn up and give their all, confident that three points is the probable outcome, but I’m not, I fear the worst.

I am searching for some optimism, looking for a chink of hope…come on NUFC please for once prove me wrong, thrash Bournemouth on Saturday, get some confidence and kick on…Is it really too much to ask?

I know the good people who turn up on Saturday to offer support will as always do their bit, it does not take much to switch SJP on, let us hope that something changes on Saturday.

Hope is just about all that is left for Newcastle fans.

Lose on Saturday and even that will be gone.
