Floating with every change
In my head, Newcastle never lose.
Every game I see, I never feel we will lose – even in the last minute I’m thinking we are gonna score winning goals and my feelings will be justified.
I try to float with every change, every loss that we all deal with, usually badly!
This latest change with Rafa Benitez coming in and the uplifting performance against Leicester gives me such hope, but it might really be the end of my devotion if we get sent down.
I either need salvation and justification through Rafa and a future that might mean (add cough) silverware, or a real good look at things.
I’m 36, I have seen one trophy (Championship) lifted, twice in my life, is a third really good for my brain?
I know a lot of people are thinking the same, it is too long to wait for a Premiership, or an FA Cup and it is below us to win a Championship again.
So a change is as good as a rest…but it would be Juventus or a team at least in black and white to support because nothing clicks the brain as the magnificent kit – not even whatever they put into McDonalds.
I read a lot of ‘Wait, stick with me ‘appeals on The Mag and believe me, this is one.
The feelings are still there.
What is the saying? It’s not the years – it’s the mileage. Or the mind is willing but the body is not.
Neither feels right – but the cheaper they make the shirts look, the amount of bad press you read, the amount of defeats to Sunderland we have… the more I feel it is time to leave it all behind.
So many clubs since I was first dressed in black and white back in 1985 have won something that is a real success.
Am I feeling it wrong? All I want is victory!
Lets’ get it together and get the points to build a dream.
Greg Codling was at Port Vale away to see Steve Watson score, Kevin Brock in goal at Birmingham and really needs help!
