An open letter to Steve McClaren
Dear Steve McClaren,
I am writing to you in the hope that this letter may inspire you to do the right thing, I say inspire, but this seems a word that escapes you, as you clearly have no idea of the definition of the word.
I am a Newcastle fan of over 30 years and during that time I have been witness to Newcastle teams both good and bad.
However, since the start of your tenure I have never witnessed a team so lacking in direction, inspiration, or any sort of tactical know how.
In fact I see great comparison with a certain England team you once managed (where’s that brolly?).
All season you have ducked and dodged being sacked, partly I assume because the people who appointed you fear for their jobs.
You blame everyone and everything but yourself and seem to live in some deluded fantasy that you actually have control.
PLEASE, if you have any love at all for the fans, or this great club, you will walk away now, although I fear you have inflicted far too much damaged already…
Yours in hope
A lifelong Newcastle United supporter
