Newcastle United confirm that Seydou Doumbia plays at St James Park tonight

Newcastle United have confirmed that loan signing Seydou Doumbia will start his first game in black and white on Monday night (tonight).

The 28 year old striker has been an unused substitute in the two games so far and with his last match being back on 8 December 2015, he desperately needs some games after a two month break.

From (last match for CSKA Moscow) Champions League against PSV…to playing for the Newcastle United reserves against Stoke City.

The club have indicated that Jamaal Lascelles will also get a game after missing West Brom through suspension. WIth Karl Darlow in goal expected to be in goal as well, the match at home and being played at St James Park.

Seydou Doumbia arrived on loan from AS Roma on deadline day of the January transfer window and will start for Peter Beardsley’s second-string against the Potters.

Admission is free for season ticket holders and for Members, though for others it’s £3 for adults and £1 concessions. The East Stand will be open for the match.

So get along tonight and see what Seydou Doumbia is likely to give the first team in the relegation run-in.
