What Manchester United fans had to say about the Newcastle game – Recommended

Not the game any of us were expecting on Tuesday night, both home supporters and the Manchester United fans.

Having come back from 2-0 down and then 3-2 down in the last minute, Newcastle fans definitely saw it as a point gained and a spirited and uplifting fightback.

What though did the Manchester United fans make of their own team, the game and indeed the opposition?

Despite starting the game within reach of the top four, fair to say their supporters haven’t been the happiest of late.

We searched out the reaction of the Manchester United fans via one of their top message boards RedCafe

‘If there is ever a game that’s got a bore draw 0-0 written all over it then it’s definitely this one.’

‘We’ll make Newcastle look competent.’

‘If they take the game to us we won’t be able to handle it…this team is soft as f*** and mentally weak. 2-0 newcastle.’

‘Newcastle are an odd bunch and it depends what team turns up, but they certainly seemed to have turned a corner recently, Sissoko against Darmian/Young could be an interesting battle.’

‘Fellaini is so sh*t. A midfielder cannot have such a bad first touch.’

‘He is gonnà get sent off.’

‘Dummett. F*** me.’

When f***ing Dummet scores against you then you know luck’s against you.’

‘Mitrovic was lauded as a big talent. He seems really bad.’

‘You should tell Chris Smalling that. Seemed to be grabbing him at every opportunity.’

‘We really are in trouble if we are struggling against a side who just can’t score and have scored 3 against us.’

‘Great Game, 1st half was all ours but overall we got a draw with a team at the bottom of the league. Still pretty pathetic.’

‘Chris Smalling I can forgive – one of his poorest games in a United shirt.

But Fellaini – his performance, and in general for United are unforgiveable. He offers absolutely nothing, and missing that header was criminal. He can f*** off, the mop headed buffoon muppet.’

‘Entertaining but the standard of football was pretty poor from both teams.’

‘Good game to watch that. Can’t believe we’ve only managed 2 draws this season against that relegation shi*e side though.’

‘I suppose the LvG haters will be delighted with that game? Me, I’d rather the 1st penalty won it and we get all 3 points. It’s bollocks that entertainment is more important than winning. I’m absolutely gutted.’

‘Really entertaining game, it was nice to see a United team have a go, but God the standard was so poor. It was like watching a lower league game at times. It’s a damning indictment of Van Gaal that we can’t have any attacking intent without looking useless defensively.’

‘Eugh that was gutting. Newcastle deserved nothing, I don’t care what the commentator said. Our defending wasn’t the best but you can’t even say we threw it away, their last 2 goals were ridiculously lucky (don’t think it was a pen and I missed their first goal).’

‘I disliked Fellaini before he arrived, hated his signing and have felt dirty watching him in a United shirt ever since. The least Manchester United player we have ever signed for me.’
