Very interesting Alan Pardew comments from Crystal Palace fans as cracks appear…

Alan Pardew is now just over a year into his management spell at Crystal Palace.

He enjoyed a very nice honeymoon period as he kept Palace up in some style, was backed heavily in both transfer windows and now some Crystal Palace fans are taking a fresh look at their returned cult hero…

With Yohan Cabaye pulling the strings and talented young players he inherited, such as Bolasie and Zaha, reaping the benefits, the form continued into the start of this current season.

However, no goals and only two points from the last 15, have given Crystal Palace fans food for thought.

At Newcastle United, there were some good runs of form under Alan Pardew but then typically followed by serious nosedives that he looked clueless to address, once plan A was found lacking.

Alan Pardew’s future whether with Crystal Palace, England….or wherever, will always be followed with some interest by Newcastle supporters, so here’s what some Crystal Palace supporters are having to say about the silver fox now.

Comments are taken from the top Crystal Palace message board, well worth a read…

‘After next week it will be 2 point from 6 games (Spurs at home next)! This is the sort of Alan Pardew run that Newcastle fans warned us about!’

‘We needed this bad run AP ego was getting too big and really it has given hopefully the fans a reality check we was never good enough for europe you need some top players we really do not have any we still low down in the building cycle.’

‘I have one beef (possibly two) with AP: Drop Punch(eon) FFS and stop blowing smoke up Cabaye’s arse!! He is NOT as great as you think.’

‘A slump in form and the sooner we reach 40+ points the better.’

‘So…we lose Bolasie and the whole thing goes tits up. He will not be back for at least 3 weeks. What the hell is going on. Are we a one man team. Bloddy well looks like it.’

‘But wasn’t there talk of us pushing on and improving on last season’s position ? Was all of this false optimism ? I said before the season that we would be “Bottom Eight” and I might just be right.’

‘We may not end up top half, but we ain’t getting relegated.’

‘We have been abject for several weeks….Chelsea, villa, Swansea, today….when will we ever score again…..adebyor is not the answer!’

‘Just got slaughtered and hung up to dry!! Jesus Christ we are poor. We need major signings otherwise we can get relegated.’

‘I’m still confident of a better finish than last season but I’m not feeling this performance at all. It reminds me of how we used to be. I don’t think Pards got this right at all.’

‘I’ll be interested to see Mr Pardew’s comments on this performance (beaten by Villa).’

‘Chamamkh’s dive in the box was embarrassing, he simply isn’t the answer to our goal drought. At this rate it will be the bottom 5 for us before long.’

‘Would you trust Pardew with the chequebook? £5m for Mutch, £3m for McCarthy, £9m for Wickham?’

‘This is not actually as bad as Tuesday (beaten by Villa) but it’s still a pi** poor performance. Hennessey seems to have put on gloves soaked in olive oil and Cabaye seems anonymous. If it weren’t for the prospect of Bolasie returning I’d be thinking the wheels have come off.’

‘Presumably Pardew has the final word on who we get, and he considered Austin no better than what we currently have. Hmm, Alan, just remind me how many goals our forwards are on this season.’

‘3-0 now – that’s 12 goals conceded there in less than 4 games. No goals in 5 league games. Not bloody good enough. Can’t honestly see where our next point is coming from.’

‘We don’t have the strength in depth but I don’t feel that AP plays to the strengths of those who do play when they have to. With Bolasie, Wilf and Wickham the whole thing is fairly straightforward but after that – as is being proved – his tactics are skewed.’

‘There are problems we have known about for weeks and Parish and Pardew need to address these this month. VIlla haven’t won since the opening day and they dominated us all game. Yeah we have a right to voice complaints.’

‘In no way shape or form is it acceptable to make a team (Villa) that hasn’t won since the beginning of August look like Brazil.’

‘We are going to limp to 40 points. This team needs urgent surgery.’

Really poor. Lack of confidence, energy. There doesn’t seem to be a plan of attack and the ball retention is terrible.’

‘Geordies having a street party down by the Pardew mural on The Quay already.’
