Piers Morgan reviews Arsenal 1 Newcastle 0 – Typical Arsenal fan?
Two facts – Piers Morgan is very annoying, he is also an Arsenal fan.
Put the two things together and you get…a typical Arsenal fan?
In his everyday work life Piers Morgan has created a persona of being permanently outspoken in order to grab headlines, as a football supporter he is no different.
A constant critic of Arsene Wenger and always stamping his feet when the Gunners aren’t three or four up and playing brilliant football.
The perception of Newcastle supporters would generally be that Arsenal fans are simply very spoilt.
Top four every season, Champions League football every year and play some great stuff with a set of very talented players.
This is the Piers Morgan review of Arsenal 1 Newcastle 0 via messages he posted on his Twitter account.
Remember, the Gunners went into yesterday’s match top of the Premier League, in the last 16 of the Champions League, carrying a host of injuries to some of their best players (Cazorla, Sanchez, Wilshere etc) and have a bye into the fourth round of the FA Cup (Sunderland at home in the third round…).
“Wenger has no excuses left. None. This is the year he must win the League, or leave.
“Get a grip, Arsenal – this is dismal.
“We’ve not had a midfield general since Vieira left – chronic failure by Wenger to provide proper leadership where it matters.
“Awful. I wouldn’t even let them have an orange.
“Thank God for Petr Cech. We’re getting torn to pieces here, what on earth is going on?
“Our defence is diabolical today (Cech excepted).
‘Come on Arsenal, if you want to win the League you have to CRAVE it. Show some damn fight.
“BOOOOOOOOOOM! 1-0. Finally. Great finish Koscielny.
“Champions win games like this where they play like donkeys. Eeeyore.
“11 years is a test of anyone’s patience.
“Horrible, yet delicious win. Still top of the League. Thank you PetrCech.
“We need a world class striker & CDM beast. We have the money. Get ‘busy’, Arsène.”
