Jamie Vardy and his financee Rebekah Nicholson had an early morning surprise.

Looking out at their garden they discovered that somebody had thrown a Newcastle shirt over the wall.

Vardy’s fiancee, who he has a one year old daughter with, posted a photo of the shirt using her Twitter account:

“To whoever put this over our wall… Absolute #banter.”

Whether it was a hopeful Newcastle fan or not, any efforts of trying to lure him to St James Park with a free shirt look a little unlikely.

Jamie Vardy has indicated that he will stay at Leicester at least until the end of the season and there have been press reports that the Foxes are prepared to offer him a new contract worth £80,000 a week to get him to commit.

Top scorer in the Premier League with 15 goals (along with Romeklu Lukaku), Vardy of course would stand no chance of getting a chance at Newcastle anyway.

After all, why would Newcastle want a striker who turns 29 this month, just because he scores goals?
