Is it not about time Graham Carr had the decency to offer Mike Ashley his resignation?
Once more another Graham Carr signing, Florian Thauvin, rides off into the sunset.
This will mean another monetary loss for the club.
This is money a proper football scout could have recommended be spent on a decent player. Instead Graham Carr (to the left of Ashly in photo above) yet again came up with a player that was unsuitable for our needs.
No scout can pick up a successful buy on every occasion but this man fails time and time again.
He is too old (turns 72 in October), from a bygone football age and the worst thing is he has not got the decency to resign.
I am surprised Mike Ashley has not paid Carr’s contract up (given an eight year contract in 2012) because in the long-term this would be cost effective and a good business decision.
Bringing the right players in is vital, and always will be, but Carr has a while left on his contract and with him things could get even worse than it is now, with such a low percentage of successful buys.
There is so much wrong at the Toon and at all levels, Mike Ashley needs to sort it out, or bring in a football supremo to offer guidance.
The trouble is his choice of who to hire is highly suspect, so he would probably cock that appointment up too!
