Paul Merson has looked ahead to Sunday’s match at St James Park.
Kick-off is at 4pm in front of a worldwide TV audience and the former Arsenal player fancies the two teams to share four goals.
The only problem being that he thinks Liverpool’s share will be…four.
Paul Merson says he has been impressed with Jurgen Klopp so far and thinks he and his team can have an easy afternoon.
However, with Newcastle, the Sky Sports pundit says that he says that the way United have been losing matches recently, sends out big warning signs.
Merson says there is now way he can see an upset and it is very hard to disagree on all available recent evidence…
Paul Merson talking to Sky Sports:
“I’ve been in football a long time and have seen a few upsets in my time – but I cannot see one here.
“I can see Liverpool beating Newcastle 4-0 at St James’ Park.
“I’ve watched Newcastle a couple of times in recent weeks and there are ways to lose football matches and the ways they’ve lost in recent weeks haven’t been good.
“I’ve been impressed with Liverpool under Klopp and with the way they’ve been playing it should be an easy afternoon’s work.”
