I have had enough and Steve McClaren must go now
That is it, I have had it with Steve McClaren.
He sends a team out (as usual) to even outbore West Brom.
That takes some believing…
If Steve McClaren has any dignity left whatsoever, he should be on the blower to offer his resignation to Mike Ashley, rather than cling on for an ill-deserved pay-off in the way that Souness and Allardyce did.
The same clueless tactics today, sit back and let the opposition batter you, in the hope that you survive and maybe sneak something late on.
Just look below at the number of corners and chances West Brom had.
Yes it took a feeble attempt by Karl Darlow to gift the winner but to be honest we should have been well gone by the time of that 78th minute Fletcher header.
West Brom are useless but they look a class above Newcastle, at least in terms of effectiveness.
I don’t even want to hear Steve McClaren’s excuses this time, you just know it will be the same old crap.
Yet again he played a back six in front of his goalkeeper with no apparent plan of how Newcastle were ever going to score a goal.
You honestly can’t blame our (few) better players if they think enough is enough playing for this clown and our even bigger clown of an owner.
Newcastle United are going down (with the mackems, we’re going down with the mackems) unless McClaren goes and a proper manager is appointed with a proper budget and the freedom to choose his own players.
Here are the stats from BBC Sport:
Possession was 48% Newcastle and 52% West Brom
Total shots was 7 for Newcastle and West Brom 22
Shots on target was Newcastle 2 and West Brom 5
While corners was Newcastle 6 and West Brom 18

Unused Subs: Elliot, Mbabu, Gouffran, Lascelles
Ref: Mike Jones
Crowd: 26,313 (2,700 Newcastle)
