Phil Neville ended up filling the role vacated at Valencia by Newcastle’s current number two Ian Cathro.

Waiting for a flight on Friday afternoon, the former Manchester United and Everton midfielder/defender invited fans to ask him questions voa his Twitter account.

Phil Neville revealed that:

His most intimidating away ground was Fenerbahce.

Best player ever faced – Giggs, Zidane, Ronaldo, Romario and Gullit.

Paul Scholes was his best mate at Man Utd.

  • and Mark Taylor is his favourite cricketer.

However, when asked who he thought the most underrated goalkeeper was in Premier League history, Phil Neville chose Newcastle United’s Tim Krul.

Always good to hear outsiders rate Newcastle’s players, even when they are out for the rest of the season…

If you recall as well, Phil Neville revealed that he had been interviewed for the job as Steve McClaren’s assistant but said that he only came up to Newcastle out of courtesy to McClaren, as he fancied trying something abroad.

Valencia are currently 7th in La Liga whilst last season Ian Cathro helped them finish the season in third.
