Leicester get results of MRI scan on Jamie Vardy – Reports

As well as the two clubs involved, many neutrals will be keeping an eye on Newcastle v Leicester to see if Jamie Vardy makes it 10 scoring matches in a row.

Whilst some Newcastle fans have queried the amount of focus given to the ‘will he won’t he’ play, Jamie Vardy’s goals have realistically made the difference between the visitors being in third place rather than just a credible mid-table start.

Claudio Ranieri said on Thursday that Vardy had joined the rest of the first team squad yesterday and trained ‘a little’.

Now The Mirror have reported that the striker trained ‘pain free’, plus Leicester City have now received the results of an MRI scan which is said to shown no damage to the player’s hip.

There had already been talk of an injection as a temporary pain relief to allow Jamie Vardy to play against Newcastle and now the claims of the striker being ‘highly likely’ to be included tomorrow, look to be on the money.

Both Daryl Janmaat and Fabricio Coloccini have claimed this week that the defence are sorting themselves out.

Up against Vardy and Mahrez and a team that averages two goals every away match, we will all be able to see for ourselves.
