Sunderland v Newcastle tickets still on sale but changed criteria

Sunderland v Newcastle tickets are still on sale to United fans.

Steve McClaren and his team travel to the Stadium of Light on Sunday 25 October (12 noon kick-off).

The United Head Coach attempting to change a disgraceful run of results and performances overseen by Alan Pardew and John Carver.

Newcastle have now dropped the criteria for buying tickets, from the original 100 loyalty points to now 80 loyalty points required for supporters to buy a ticket.

If any remain beyond this 80 points mark, the club will make a further announcement on the next band(s) of qualifying points.

One ticket per fan (with the right number of points) – tickets priced £39 for adults, £26 for seniors (aged 65 and over) and £15 for juniors (under 16s).

The club are also once again running the ‘free’ coaches with places costing £4 per person (money to an unspecified charity).

With the club releasing the following statement:


Newcastle United are once again providing transport to the Stadium of Light for supporters who have purchased a ticket for the fixture at Sunderland on Sunday, 25th October (noon kick-off).

The cost per supporter will be £4 with boarding at St. James’ Park from 9.30am for a 10am departure.

Supporters are encouraged to use the coaches to travel to the game as it assists local police to manage the arrival and departure of Newcastle supporters attending the game.

The Club will still be paying the full cost of the coaches, however all monies raised by the Club by levying this charge will be paid to a chosen Newcastle United charity.
