Newcastle United have released an official statement on Tim Krul’s injury situation.
The Newcastle keeper ended up playing for Holland on Saturday night after first choice Jasper Cillessen was injured in the warm up.
Now the club have confirmed the disastrous news that thanks to his right knee suffering a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament injury, Tim Krul won’t play again this season.
With Karl Darlow also injured, it looks as though Rob Elliot will start against Norwich, whilst Freddie Woodman has been recalled from his loan spell as cover.
