After the final whistle at Upton Park on Monday night, we asked you for your West Ham v Newcastle player ratings.
Supporters rated all 14 players used and from that there is generated the overall supporter marks for every player.
Your man of the match (fan ratings as at 12noon on Tuesday afternoon – see below) was Ayoze Perez, who looked a class above when he came off the bench for the last half hour.
Earlier today we featured quotes from Radio 5 Live’s Steve Claridge, the player turned pundit said he couldn’t believe how Steve McClaren had left him out of the team.
Elsewhere in the team you had to look hard to find any/many worthy of a decent mark.
Daryl Janmaat was next best on 5.4, more for his endeavour up and down the right I think than his effectiveness.
Tim Krul was equal third highest with 5.0, no chance with either goal and looked ok otherwise.
Whilst Chancel Mbemba also got that mark and out of a poor bunch I think he was easily Newcastle’s best defender.
As for those at the very bottom…it was hot competition!
Papiss Cisse though stood out and was very lowest with 2.2, then Thauvin on 2.7, plus four others got less than 4.0:
Haidara 3.9, Jack Colback 3.2, Moussa Sissoko 3.2 and Georginio Wijnaldum 3.5.
It was a long 16 day wait until the game at Upton Park and after the final whistle on Monday night we were all wishing it has been a bit longer…
