Nile Ranger is the gift that keeps on giving, when it comes to making headlines despite doing so little of any use.
The former Newcastle striker is back causing problems at Blackpool despite the manager saying that he isn’t welcome.
Former Newcastle player and Sam Allardyce assistant, Neil McDonald, says that he doesn’t want Ranger anywhere near his other players but says that his Chairman’s orders are that he has to accommodate Nile Ranger, in terms of making facilities open to him.
No doubt with Nile Ranger being under contract until next summer, there may be legal reasons as to the club having to allow the waster to at least train using club facilities.
Neil McDonald had previously told Nile Ranger not to bother coming back after he’d messed everybody around yet again, having failed to appear twice in agreed pre-season training return dates.
The Blackpool manager says that Nile Ranger’s sole motivation in having turned up now, is to ’cause a bit of havoc’ and to get in the headlines again.
“You would have to ask the chairman about that (why Nile Ranger has turned up again). I’ve made my feelings known. The player has no future at this club. You’ll have to ask the hierarchy why he is still here.
“He can come back and put things on social media showing him training and grafting, but he’s not really.”
“He’s come back to cause a bit of havoc and some headlines. He didn’t even turn up on Friday, so that’s what we are having to deal with.
“I have been told we have to make facilities available to him and that is what we will do, but he certainly won’t come into the fold here and he won’t come back into the team, that’s for sure.”
