Ayoze Perez invited Newcastle fans to ask him questions via his Facebook page and he provided the answers.
In today’s modern era when football players have such a bad image, it is great to see somebody like the Spanish striker who comes across without the attitude that you see so often elsewhere.
Even when he has, undeservedly in my opinion, been left out of the team this season, he hasn’t shown any dissent and simply said all the right things about keep working hard etc.
Hopefully we will see him on the pitch tonight against West Ham.

Who is your best friend at the club?
“We are all family but it is true that Fabricio Coloccini is one of the most important for me.”

“Yoan Gouffran and Steven Taylor, they are really funny guys.”
How does it feel to play in the Premier League?
“It is the best league in the world and it is a privilege, I’m proud to be playing here.”

“When the fans stood up to clap Jonas Gutierrez when he came back to St James – I won’t ever forget that moment.”
Like living in Newcastle?
“I really like the city, it is very beautiful and a nice place to live.”
What do you miss most living in Newcastle (and not back home)?
“(Laughs) I miss three things: Our accent, the climate – which is very different here, and of course the food of Mommy.”
The best defender you have ever played against?
“John Terry or Vincent Kompany but there are lots of good defenders in the Premier League.”
