Newcastle might have had a poor day at the office today but just have a look at this stunning 40 yard goal from Adam Armstrong.
The United striker scored another two goals as he helped Coventry City to a 4-0 win away at Millwall.
Adam Armstrong now has four goals in less than three hours of football for his on-loan club.
Fellow out on loan Newcastle player Shane Ferguson came on at half-time for the home side but by then Armstrong and his teammates were already out of sight, three goals to the good.
Last weekend Adam Armstrong made the Football League team of the week, as well as breaking the fans’ player ratings record in the local paper.
With goals in the 6th and 24th minutes including this stunning goal, it will be interesting to see what marks out of 10 Coventry fans will award Adam Armstrong this time.
These type of finishes will do the business against any team, whether it is League One or the Premier League.
The future could be very bright for this 18 year old and Newcastle United.
Obviously you can’t get carried away and see him as the finished article yet. but to see what he has already achieved in only two starts this season, it has to give you every hope that he could be some player.
I think I can already hear Tony Mowbray on the phone to Steve McClaren begging to keep Adam Armstrong beyond the initial loan up to January.
