PSV have sent a message to the fans of Newcastle United, following the confirmation of the player signing on at St James Park.

Clubs on the continent seem to do the parting of ways with players a bit better than in England, where the norm is often conflict and friction between the two parties.

PSV though have shown their class and posted this message and video via Twitter:

“Hi NUFC fans, here is what you can expect of Georginio Wijnaldum. All the best with this great player!”

I think this is the first time I’ve watched a player show reel and not wanted to tear my ears off from the choice of music. Top quality from the PSV lads though, that’s the way you should conduct yourself as a club, hopefully our lot will learn something.

Dear Psv can we have Jetro Willems also ?

  • Les Higgins

Great touch from PSV, and for once a player that looks as though he totally loves his game. I just hope he is not let down by any further lack of ambition and that Ashley continues to demonstrate some intent.

It’s the Dutch mentality, which is why their players are a better option than most of the French for me.

  • Ray Hunter

Funny, whenever anything positive happens no one has anything to say.

Very nice touch by the selling club PSV. Looks like he is a very good signing, something we are not used to, is this the start of a new bunch of recruits? I read that Cisse has agreed terms with a Turkish side but the fee is to be arranged. Could Georginio ( Geordie ) be Sissoko’s replacement? Will we sign a CM or two? Will we sign a striker? I hope Georginio signed on the belief there would be new signings to improve the club and not to use us as a one season springboard to a ” better, bigger club with intentions of improving and winning something “. Good luck to the lad and have to say he looks great in the black and white, cannot wait to see him play ( it wont be at St James’s though, as I still support the boycott idea until we have a new owner or there is a drastic change in policy which will benefit the club and the fans ).

Take my hat off to the PSV fans, shows abit of class,……Penfold,Tubbs you both could learn something there.

“Very nice touch by the selling club PSV”
Indeed it must be galling to lose not one but two world class players in one hit. At least they won the league with them both last season.

Wijnaldum won Eredivise Player of the Year last season so he must have something special about him ? and the Toon finally have a 10 goals or more a season midfielder, something we’ve lacked since Nobby and Speedo days. Who knows De Jong might come good too then we’d be struggling to fit them all in ;-)

  • Davie Marshall

Touch of class that’s nice of them

  • Garry Gardner

Hopefully this is the start of good times ahead.should of happened a long time ago really.

  • AB233

apart from all the people commenting eh

  • NotFatFreddy

At last a box to box player who actually can score goals!  He can dribble and beat a man and even his weakness isn’t bad as he can head a ball better than our current strikers!  Great signing and he is already our best player and hasn’t even kicked a ball!! Next!

  • Morpeth mag

Could be a quality signing, hope that we have at least 5 more including two center backs,, great touch off PSV, very classy move, I wish them luck for next season,,,

  • Gordon John Bell

    Nice touch

  • whickhamrobbie

amacdee  after watching de jong at Gateshead  he wont come good we need 4 more quality signings or were doomed . the booing of Williamson before even kicking a ball does not bode well .

  • geordie4567

Looks a cracking player, more like this please!

  • SteveSmith16

I think we can ALL learn something from PSV here.
We need to try and bring some class back to our club -because a combination of Ashley, Penfold and the short memories of many rival fans, our estimation has plummeted in the eyes of a lot of the country.
Forget Cabaye, he’d have joined Watford or Bournemouth if it got him match time this season.
Forget Pardew, he’s no longer our problem.
Forget rival fan websites and forums.
Let’s just focus on ourselves and our club. Be it making a concerted effort to force change within the walls or showing everyone that we’re still the best fans in the country.

  • stepaylor

really pleased he has signed (as long as it doesnt mean Sissoko is leaving)

  • Happyharrys2011

Give your head a shake. Plenty being said positive here.
Fack off out my club Ashley!!!!

  • v0ices

whickhamrobbie amacdee not a fan of williamson hes not even a premier league squad player but its not his fault hes playing hes just doing what most people would do taking the best job hes been offered and trying, even if he is  crap at it.

  • LeazesEnder

NotFatFreddy and he’ll see eye to eye with Anita…. one thing for sure we’ll have to keep the ball skimming across the grass… thats football that is.
