Newcastle United have now announced what they state is their full pre season friendlies schedule.

A total of seven matches in all before the proper action kicks off with the Premier League on the weekend of Saturday 8 August.

The first six matches are away from home, including the three to be staged in America that were announced earlier this week.

The final one will be the only at St James Park, with United facing Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach.

Whilst the three in the States are a bit trickier, the other four matches are all accessible for fans living on Tyneside.

However, the match at Bramall Lane against Sheffield United has an early 1pm kick-off.

Confirm 7 signings would be better eh ?

  • PeterS84

only way the club would announce 7 signings is if we signed the seven dwarfs

Can someone please explain to me why were playing teams, no disrespect used, to lower level teams (bar Borussia), is this to make our payers feel good if we beat them or is it that no one wants to play us anymore????

The results of these games are unimportant…they are only used
to give the players some match fitness……and allow any new signings (hopefully) to get used to their new team-mates…

… we’ll see the outcome of all that against a good German
outfit before the real test begins…

    All winnable games apart from

    Gateshead
    Sacramento Republic FCAtlas FC
    Portland Timbers
    Sheffield United
    York City
    Borussia Monchengladbach

    Toon69 The latter.

No one wants us in their “home tournaments” and no one wants to loan out their good young players to us either in the fear they’ll be shlte when they return.

Won’t need to book many seats,
No manager or players to take.
The speed in which things are done. manager (shite from what I am hearing) still not sorted. Players, God only knows what that Carr is thinking to bring in this time.
    Sick beyond belief
Get a top Center half and go from there, good quality not punts because they so called cheap.
Cheap can be very expensive! Look at what nearly happened this season,
I will need better players with a crap coach and a crappy deluded 1st team coach if he is pig headed enough to stay after calling his players after most all games.
Disappointed, gutted, and all those things.
