Newcastle star thanks rehab specialists after preparing him for pre season training

Newcastle winger Rolando Aarons endured a nightmare season with regard to injury.

After impressing in pre season last summer, Aarons broke into the Newcastle first team with a handful of  impressive Premier League appearances as a substitute and a couple of starts in the League Cup, including scoring against Manchester City in that shock win.

However, after getting his first England call-up for the Under 20 team, he scored on his debut but came back with a hamstring injury.

An injury that caused problems all season, a major factor being Alan Pardew playing him too soon against medical advice when recovering from the initial injury.

Rolando Aarons finally made it back for Newcastle as a substitute in the final away match of the season at QPR and then went on to represent England at the Toulon tournament.

However, taking no chances, Rolando Aarons has been working with fitness and rehab specialists ‘Back 2 Action’ ahead of pre season training.

Along with other professional players, the Newcastle winger has been training at Hallen football ground down in Bristol, under the watchful eye of the trainers who are specialists in strength and conditioning, as well as rehabilitation.

Aarons taking to Twitter to thank them as he prepares for pre season training tomorrow with Newcastle:

“Like to thank back2action for the work they’ve done with me during the summer. Feeling good for pre (season training).”

Fingers crossed that Rolando Aarons can stay fit and continue to progress, reality is that he showed more promise in his handful of appearances than Obertan, Ameobi and Cabella did combined over the course of the whole season.

At the weekend, ‘Back 2 Action’ revealed that Gael Bigirimana was also now working with them ahead of the new season.

The midfielder of course was prevented from playing at Rangers whilst on loan due to a mystery problem. Hopefully he will be back playing this coming season, whether it is for Newcastle or elsewhere.
