The image that says it all to Mike Ashley and his cynical and manipulative running/ruining of Newcastle United.

One word, meltdown. If carver is not stood down in next 48 hours, the ONLY interpretation is that Ashley hates us so much he wants us to be relegated, after all, £200m is pin money to him. Yes, it will be damaging and humiliating to his precious brand, but actions (or inactions) define intent.

I use to blog about the Wonga teams form early on in the season, now near the end of the season my club and Blackpool my best mates team have both become the big story. NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PLAYERS OR STAFF, IT STARTS AND FINISHES WITH THE OWNERs THEY ARE THE CANCER OF FOOTBALL AND MUST BE STOPPED.

Would be nice to win even if it is a dirty win.

The men in cloth caps in the 60s and 70s would shudder at things unfolding at this club.I don’t know how many season tickets were around in those days but I bet many wouldn’t have been renewed if they had to watch this crap

Adam_B No I think Ashley’s big gamble is failing…. as you say Sky money and his free advertising are going to hit him….

Prepare for a week of headlines…… ‘How Relegation will be good for the club’

The morons who write it will be identified as attention seeking bloggers.

Well said. I still can’t get my head round anyone that says relegation would be good. We would be cut adrift for years and become another Sheffield Wednesday or Leeds.

Probably the fact that if relegated ashley would probs sell up as would lose too much money and that’s why we’re saying it. It’s not rocket science. For a start he’d lose over £100m, lack of TV money so very little advertising for his crap SD and doubt very much we would come straight back up again with these players so would also lose the parachute payment too
