  • Polarboy

Would have played Gutierrez at left back and moved Dummett over to the centre to get rid of Williamson and then stuck on Cabella, or Abeid if I was feeling particularly cautious.

  • hettonmag

Why is Abeid  not in for Raylor is he just in for free kicks and corners, Abeid gets around the pitch better than him.

  • scotty63

set up for a point imo

  • NatTurner

He managed to leave out Anita and Gouffran yet still name a terrible 11.  No natural wide player with Ameobi, Cabella, and Obertan available?

  • toon tony

Well done John Carver. …It took 37 seconds to prove to any doubters out there that you couldn’t run a pi $$ up in a brewery. FCB OUT.

  • PhilYare

mike williamson…. there are buckets of sheep’s slop that could do a more convincing impersonation of a footballer

  • Conman

    Two down after 15 minutes.
If JC really believes he cares for the club, he needs to admit that he isn’t up to the job and step aside and go back to his 5 year contract that he keeps mentioning.
We need a new man in for the last three games to give us a new manager bounce that we missed by inserting the patsy in place of Pardew.
Pathetic so far and lining myself up for a second half come back but it isn’t going to happen.
Carver, you are the weakest link. Goodbye

  • Conman

I’ll take a point now. Two down after 15

This, so far, is the worst performance of the season. We seem to get slower and more spineless every week, it is literally painful to watch.

  • NatTurner

John Carver’s sinking ship versus a real football club.

Carver demands permanent job after 8th defeat in a row; claims he’ll make a grand Championship manager

Taylor and Jonas in the middle rather than Abeid and Sissoko is so idiotic.  They’re both nice people but aren’t top players these days.

I feel really bad that Ayoze and Janmaat signed up with us.

  • scotty63

    Conman hmmm utter utter sh!te

  • NottsToon

I am screaming at my TV, this is like watching none league football, in fact I’ve seen pub teams with more quality.
    Williamson – not a footballer
Taylor – whatever quality he had with set plays is gone.
Sissoko – Could not care less
    Colocinni – Legs have gone
Dummet – first touch so bad his second is a tackle.
    Rivière – The new Guivarch.
Perez – great touch, no brain.
Jonas – Lovely bloke, but past his prime.
Janmaat – pulled out of position constantly.
Krul – playing with no confidence, can’t blame him with the sh1t in front of him.
Colback – I can feel his frustration from here, trying to do it all on his own.
Shambles, and if we get relegated there can be no complaints from anyone at the club. This team makes the last relegated team look like Barcelona.

  • jimblag

NottsToon I agree with your analysis except Perez, a little harsh.

  • jimblag

PhilYare It gives hope to us all, apparently all you need is to be strong and in relatively good shape and you can play in the premier league.
How can he justify being a footballer, he can’t do a flaming thing.
    Worst performance i’ve EVER seen!!

  • Geoff Scott

    You watching this Peter Lamb?

  • tino o

God help us if the scum win we have no fight organisation or heart this is as bad as I’ve seen

  • PhilYare

NottsToon agree with everything. Perez deserves better but in reality he would be 5th choice at a top club
colback is a ex-mackem clogger, lee clark was a far superior player

  • PhilYare

jimblag PhilYare its a joke innit, if he was some bloke from the crowd you would believe it… and if he was playing in clown shoes

  • NatTurner

Some people on here should admit I’ve been right about Riviere.  He’s an absolute joke who’s managed to play an entire season without scoring.  Even Gouffran has managed a couple.

JC says no one could’ve beat 9 points in half a season.  The players suck so much we were getting relegated no matter what.  In fact, those 9 points prove he deserves the job in the Championship next season.  He’s eagerly awaiting his official appointment and expects it at some point before the next match.

  • tino o

Now conceded most goals in the division a total disgrace!

  • NatTurner

How did he not realize he needed to make changes at halftime?

  • Laughlaugh

    Please carver just pi55 off!

  • Peter Lamb

    Nope. Almost past caring Geoff

  • tino o

At least Williamson won’t be playing next week

  • NottsToon

He gets into great positions with lovely touches then either does nothing with it or picks the worst option.

  • NottsToon

This could be 5 or 6 by the end, embarrassing is a complete understatement. This is the end for what was Newcastle United and anyone who enters a football stadium to watch these clowns between now and the end of the season should be utterly ashamed of themselves.

  • toon tony

I can hear Carver after the game saying “we did quite well for the first 30 -35 seconds “.

  • hettonmag

We lost the ball in centre circle from the kick off tells you everything about these lily livered players we are a laughing stock through out football,  owner, coaching staff, players,Chumley, Carr all need to get out of our club pronto. ASHLEY OUT.COM

  • Brownale69

TOTAL SHT GET OUT OF OUR CLUB
COME ON ALL YOU ASHLEY SUPPORTERS JUSTIFY THAT TRIPE!

  • A lex

    tino o Yup, it’s an ill wind………….

  • NatTurner

Pardew was a jerk, but only the most vociferous of the anti-Pardew brigade would have called for his removal had they known the replacement would be JC.

  • Chemical Dave

I would have, I have the opinion that sometimes things have to get worse before they get better or things will continue to stay the same . Apart from the humiliation of relegation, does it really matter ? What was the point in staying in the pl with constant gambles on the quality of the squad ? If was only the home defeat against Reading two seasons ago that forced him to take action in the transfer window so if we don’t go down this season its inevitable that it will happen. Hopefully the damage to fat parasite is beyond repair now.

  • A lex

NatTurner Nope. Pardew, and now Carver, are both just necessary steps on the way to finally making this such a bad place that Ashley leaves.

  • IainElrick

Pardew may have actually saved us you know

  • A lex

IainElrick Saved us? For what? More of the same? No thanks!!!

  • PhilYare

    if  relegation means

    no tv money
    no shirt sales
    no match revenue

then hopefully no mike ashley, then we can all go back and pick up the pieces from the destruction

Id start by throwing all sportsdirect related s**t in a skip and sending a photo to the media, perhaps stick up the pictures on his outlet

    despicable p***k

  • PhilYare

    IainElrick how?

  • Brownale69

PhilYare yea but wot about all the “Wonga” shirts?”

  • PhilYare

IainElrick what tactical nous has he got that would have radically changed things………

remember when we defeated leicester with a shearer hattrick in injury time and the comentators said

    “this is total kevin keegan”

kenny dalglish was the manager (before his own demolition job) but the victory was marked by passion, excitement and goals – traits of the great man

this run of results is total alan pardew – see Newcastle list of abjective 0-3, 0-4 results under him

  • Brownale69

Resign now show you have some balls, and get out with a bit of respect from us. Stay and endure the abuse and go down in NUFC history as shte

  • PhilYare

NatTurner its like trading chunks of poo

  • PhilYare

Brownale69 PhilYare in the skip? defo, and burn the lot. the man should be dragged out the ground for disrespecting the late bobby robson and gary speed in such a heinous gesture

  • alreet

He saved palace with a massive spurge in jan. We only needed a striker and a cb or to not sell yanga and santon then nab hernandez on loan.
But no…no pardew. He just got us into this carvs is holding us here.
3 games left possibly 12 defeats in a row. Worst record in our history been done……see u all in the championship if burnley. Qpr and scummers manage to do anything.

  • Chemical Dave

Didn’t get a win until the end of October but he saved us ? Haha.

  • tattoo15

What price mclaren coming in now that Derby’s season is over, not my 1st choice of manager but better than the useless piece of sh#t that we have now! Then just need to get rid of Ashley and the clowns that masquerade as footballers!!

  • GToon

tattoo15 Thats what i just said to me kids. Reckon thats why Derby imploded big style as they must know he’s off. Anything is better than what we have. Feel sorry for JC. He isnt fit for the job but nobody else wanted it because of Ashley. Bet Ashley laughed as he gave him the job, knowing he would fail. JC might not be up to it but it is hard to legislate for the lack of effort put in by the likes of Sissoko, especially when he has had a rest due to his suspension. You’d think he would be flying or at least trying. At least JC and the rest of us have a similar opinion of Williamson. Hopefully thats his last game for us. Along with Colo, Sammy, Goofy, Rvierre and Sissoko. Well basically i’d only keep Perez, Colback, Janmaat and maybe Krul. Maybe there’s a 4 aside league they could enter.

  • NotFatFreddy

“Disgrace!” and just as the terrible mackems go 2-1 up against 10 men.

Carver should be sacked not relegated to coach, but it is too late to bring in any one but a resurrected Houdini.

  • jimblag

NottsToon But that’s ‘cos he’s always exhausted and has no options.

  • tino o

Now we’re [email protected] can’t rely on safc keeping us up I fear the worst

  • NotFatFreddy

McLaren should come in and be the one to take us down, just the icing on the cake for his managerial cv after a massive failure for the Rams.

  • LeazesEnder

NatTurner You were bright all along!

  • LeazesEnder

    partworntyres Blossom!

  • NotFatFreddy

Carver has gone beserk and now not only rattling the fans but also the players.  Williamson deliberately got himself sent off?  Players not trying?  This is from his own gob.  What has he done to provoke such a lack of motivation that even DiCanio would find hard to do if he was brought in for the final games. How Carver can motivate what is left of the squad when he comes out with such to try and relieve the pressure on himself is beyond belief.

  • Big Al 1967

NotFatFreddy Post match interview has now guaranteed zero points from our remaining three games. The ultimate nail in his coffin from this utter tool. Confirms what we all suspected that there is also a war going on in the dressing room between head clown and the shameful gutless playing staff
Now relying on Leicester getting something at the SOS as Everton Arsenal and Chelsea will beat the Scum, leaving them at least a point behind us.
    Absolute disgrace

  • Laughlaugh

Surely for those who have renewed their season tickets they will be the most expensive in the championship – sold up the river again! This whole disgraceful episode comes from one man only – that fat greedy tw5t!

  • NotFatFreddy

    Big Al 1967 NotFatFreddy

Yes I agree.  This is a far worse situation than even the last time we went down. There are no characters left in the squad (or an Andy Carroll), so if we go down then the 34 million will be needed to get us back minus Mr McClaren, as we will need an experienced championship ‘winner’ as manager.

  • Mister Tee

    @NatTurner
Pardew was a decent manager, still is, but the fact that he was helping Mike Ashley run this club on the cheap is enough reason for us to be better off without him.
We all know the problem lies with Ashley. He is the guy who pulls the strings and tells the rest of them what can be spent. Pardew, with his smatterings of good results, made it look like Ashley was pushing the club in the right direction. Whenever someone piped up saying they disagreed with Pardew or Ashley someone else could always say “Look at who we’ve beaten lately/Look at our results/Look at how much money we’ve brought in” and build a case to defend them.
Some people could see a bigger picture and I admit I wasnt one of them until the Europa League season. We didnt invest when we could have and we struggled and then Ashley brought in Kinnear again and the rest is history. I started getting sceptical after the Keegan affair but that summer was the time I lost my faith in how Mike Ashley was doing things.
Pardew should have walked the minute Kinnear turned up but he didnt. He was happy to take the stick from the fans in return for his wages and the profile he had built as manager of Newcastle United and that good first season. He most likely knew all along what Ashley was getting up to and the way he was running the club but still spewed the same old stories about how hard it is to get players over the line, dedicating wins to Ashley and saying how we couldnt compete financially with Swansea and Southampton whilst at the same time saying he wanted to be the manager to win something for Newcastle United.
He went along with Ashleys plan and then, when the chance came to become a “proper” manager again, he jumped at the chance. Can’t blame him for that in reality, its a surprise it took him so long to get out of this madhouse.
Pardew leaving has exposed Mike Ashleys running of this football club to a much wider audience and its plain to see he has not got a plan of action for us. He just wants us to limp along in the Premier League season after season, promoting Sports Direct, keeping money stashed away in the bank account for God knows whatever reason.
Are we saving up for Lionel Messi?
Same CB for the last 5 years considering the injury records they have, debateable playing strengths they have, Coloccini wanting to leave and the fact they are also 5 years older and slower?
Letting players leave on loan then complianing we hardly had any players left?
Where is the forward thinking at the club?
The cheek of the man to think he could get away without appointing a manager (or head coach) from the time Pardew left and just expect Carver, with no notable managerial experience, to steer the club along with a small squad (which the club apologised for! How nice of them “sorry John, we screwed up. It wont happen again”. Yeah right) is appalling and he would get his just desserts if we were relegated.

  • NottsToon

jimblag NottsToon Funnily enough, I’m not in the mood to invent excuses for any of the players. He was sh1t today.
