Newcastle loan player Haris Vuckic is through to the final of the play-offs for a place in the Scottish Premier League.
Rangers travelled to Hibernian on Saturday lunchtime holding a two goal lead from the first leg.
The Glasgow club always looked comfortable and Vuckic was in the starting line-up and played his part until being subbed on 74 minutes with the match still goalless.
However, in the third of five minutes injury time, Hibs grabbed a lifelong with a very late goal, but Haris Vuckic’s teammates held out in the remaining seconds to go through 2-1 on aggregate.
The final play-off matches see Rangers play Motherwell at home on Thursday before travelling to play them in the second leg on Sunday 31 May.
Victory for Rangers would land them a place in the Scottish Premier League and it would gift Mike Ashley a £500,000 bonus for loaning the five players to the Ibrox club.
Once again Haris Vuckic was the only one of the five Newcastle players involved today.
