Haris Vuckic is one of three players nominated for the Rangers Player Of The Year award.

The Newcastle loan player has scored 9 goals despite only starting 13 first team games, plus  a couple as a sub.

Amongst his goals have been some real crackers as well, meaning he also has 3 of the 10 goals nominated to be Goal Of The Season.

This is how the official Rangers website describes Haris Vuckic and his contribution:

Haris Vuckic joined the Light Blues on the last day of the winter transfer window as one of five played signed from Newcastle United on loan.

The Slovenian has displayed excellent professionalism and an exemplary attitude during his spell at the club and his will to win and score goals has shone in the short period he has been at the Gers.

Vuckic has been in red-hot scoring form for the Gers – playing off the forward line and enjoying cutting inside on his left foot from the right flank. The fans have loved watching him curling his trademark left foot shots into the far corner of the net –bagging 9 goals in 15 appearances for the Gers.

McCall on HARIS VUCKIC: “Added to his terrific ability, Haris Vuckic is a great goal threat for the club – scoring nine times for us in fifteen games.”

I always thought Haris Vuckic didn’t have quite enough to do it in the Premier League but seeing some of these goals he has scored north of the border, I have to think surely he would have been a better bet than Emmanuel Riviere, Facundo Ferreyra and the inexperienced Adam Armstrong in this dismal second half of the season and subseqent freefall into a relegation fight.

I would heartily recommend you go HERE and towards the bottom of the page you can watch each of those three Haris Vuckic nominated goals, plus if you are so inclined there is a link there where you can then go and vote.

Following the serious slump in the Toons performance I
really began to follow the goings on of the “Rangers Five” (but in reality, the
Rangers One) north of the Frontier.

From the reports earlier in the year from Rangers, Vukic
appeared struggled for match fitness; I suspect from a lack of anything but reserve games at the Toon. However
it does make you think, with good coaching and a bit of patience a full 90
minutes at and a good goal scoring record from a talented youngster isn’t too far away. If he keeps it up
maybe we’ll have a home grown Forward in the next season or two? That is of of
course NUFC hasn’t released or sold him on in the meantime.
    Scepticism aside, well done Haris!
