The image below should tell all Newcastle fans exactly where the club is heading under Mike Ashley.

Other than the Leicester game i’m not sure where we can look for another win this season.  Even then, if Leicester are still in with a fighting chance to stay up then they will probably beat us too simply because they will want it more.  Our players seem to know our season is over, our coach hasn’t got a clue what to do to change it and the board and owner didn’t do anything in January when they could.  If some of the teams around the relegation zone continue picking points up we could still find ourselves in danger of going down.

It’s a really sad situation we find ourselves in, all  caused by one mans greed  to make as much money as he can at the same time screwing the life out of the best  supporters in the land. Now I wouldn’t  no what the solution is for getting rid of this leech who has sucked the lifeblood out of our great club. Some say people need to stop going  to matches but would that really bother him especially with the massive TV  money  that’s in the game. Something needs to be done because we are rudderless and just drifting along  like some welfare club with no ambition.

  • Toonbadger

hettonmag  Look, so it doesn`t bother him about the fans going or not, but it will when SS and BT stop showing our home games because the stadium is empty

  • SGM

I don’t understand your opening line “Under Mike Ashley” Its not his fault that we have massive injury probs, or that we have key players suspended, or that players who been bought yet to prove themselves, like look at the squad at least half are not worthy, we should be looking at Carr. Players that we let go either, wanted to go, went on strike, had contractual get-out clauses or were clearly not good enough. We need a coach ,not a different owner.

  • PhilYare

Toonbadger hettonmag defo, thats the only way to get him, they want to televise games with atmosphere, not something that looks like a pre-season practice match

SGM It’s Ashley’s fault, and that of his underlings like Carver, that we don’t have adequate replacements for injured or suspended players.  The reason?  Sheer greed.
Who knows how many of Carr’s suggested transfers in have been turned down by Tubby, purely because they don’t come from some foreign bargain basement?
If I were a player with some knowledge of NUFC, I wouldn’t touch them with a bargepole.  And if I were already there, I’d be away like a shot given the opportunity.
The biggest laughing stock in the country.  Aside from Blackpool, maybe.

    SGM are you being serious?

It’s the owners fault as it is under his direction we buy cheap in the hope that they will come good. It is because of him there is no investment in proven players who can fit straight into the first team and it’s his direction that we are not interested in cups, Europe or competing anywhere near the top of the league. Carr can only scout what Ashley is willikng to pay for. Injuries should be an acceptable situation if we had a good/large enough squad.. and we have neither due to the direction Ashley has taken us.

    SGM .
Comments like these epitomise what is wrong with many of the so called ‘supporters’ these days. Hook line and sinker believing he was a saviour who saved us from an assured Leeds type meltdown. The facts are vastly different, and every penny saved has been to the benefit of himself first and the Club second. Barclay’s mortgages simply became an Ashley debt instead – never to be paid down.
Even with 28 million disappearing into a black hole, and SD (a PLC for heavens sake!) for 8 years being given free advertising and our retail operation, some try and defend him with nonsense arguments like this one.
Keep buying the regime line and propaganda as we disappear into nowhere.

  • Sickandtiredstill

Toonbadger hettonmag Attack the brand, the SD brand, as well as Ashley himself.
City investors are already sick of him and weekly doses of negative press and tv coverage will likely compound matters far more effectively in that regard.
SD is HIS baby as much as NUFC is ours. Make him hurt and make it hurt as much us and our Club is.
Simply put, the man hates us now after going public and stating he wanted out. Take a good long read of his history and how he treats those he has issues with.
He is doing the same here now.

  • PhilYare

SGM how about its ashley’s fault for employing such a stupid system with numerous pointless individuals that  do more damage than good, like llambias, charnley, wise, kinnear, stone, watson, carver, jimenez

remember when we had mick wadsworth buying loads of c**p from south america? that season was a write off,  the next bobby trusting his own instincts brought in dynamic players like Bellamy and Robert to return us into a top 4 team

Keegan could have just operated on his own without all those clowns above him and we’d have been 10 million miles better off, how dare he think that wise is a better judge of player/character than keegan!

Quite simply – the man knows nothing about football, and sets up a football club like hes employing a bunch of goons to work in a sports direct store

    Its all his fault
