We are never defeated, unless we give up.

Newcastle! United! Will never be defeated! Kinda goes round in your head…

(To feature like Tony, send in your articles for our website to [email protected] – all views those of the author etc etc)

We ARE Newcastle United. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Without OUR (all of us, not just yours and mine) support, there would be no club.

I am not saying if only you and I decided to protest/boycott the club anything would change…but if we all protest (in our own way) then perhaps that wheel will start to turn…

You need to make up your own mind what you’re doing tonight, on Sunday, whenever, I can’t make your mind up, or make your decision for you. If you wanna boycott the game, fine. If you don’t want to boycott the game for whatever reason, that’s fine too!

Too many times I have heard people say ‘you’re with us, or against us’.

This false dichotomy cannot continue, ironically called black and white thinking, that says you are one or the other… perhaps there is a third option of ‘I don’t like what is happening, but don’t want to protest either, which doesn’t mean I agree with Cashley, but that I love my club’.

I see both sides of this argument, as the guy I go to SJP with looks at the problem exactly this way. He hates what is being done to our club but cannot bring himself not to go; he is as vociferous as the rest of the Strawberry corner about what he does want (get out of our club etc.) but cannot bring himself to not go.

I don’t know what the answer is; I do know that attacking each other isn’t it.

I also know giving up on OUR club isn’t it either; my presumption is that this debate will rumble on for a while.

We are not divided, we are UNITED.

Newcastle United we stand – divided we fall…

Remember those guys that gave up? No, neither does anybody else!

  • SGM

I personally have nothing detrimental to say about those who wish to protest, its there right, I wont be, Simply because I think we could do a whole lot worse than M.A.

  • Brian Standen

I totally agree there are too may people willing to be too critical of others if they disagree with their opinions, bordering on outright nastiness

  • stevennufc

SGM which chairman/owner of a club in the premier league is worse than ahshley?………..what a statement!!!

  • Billco

If 50,000 think that is the way forward Mike Ashley will be as happy as a dog with two c*cks.

  • NottsToon

The writers statement of “I don’t know what the answer is” says it all to me. Nothing is achieved by doing nothing, only a continuation of what is.

If people are happy to continue attending and not protesting then ergo the current status quo will be maintained whether they are unhappy with it or not. Like a man with a knife sticking out of his back who doesn’t want to go the hospital because “it’s my favourite knife”.

  • KING KENNY

What we need is a visual statement. The cameras will be at St James’s on Sunday. At a given time we should all turn our backs on the game for a minute or more? or another mass walk out, which I still believe was more successful than many of our past actions  That will get more coverage than those that stay away.I am totally against Ashley and his stooges but  staying away will not hurt them, we have to show the rest of the footballing world that we care for our great club and for them to begin to understand why.All we ever get from the media is “BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR” and what a good manager Pardum  is after we had “hounded” him out. We need them to be exposing what is happening to our great club, staying away will not do that.

  • Grumpyoldmag

Outstanding article wish more people were as balanced

  • Toon Magpie

Newcastle has already fallen, those who fail to do anything about the situation, including those who stay away, those that stay away do nothing as well.

  • Toon Magpie

Those that stay away ARE the same as those that don’t support, there is no no difference. You do NOTHING

  • AP69

SGM we are in more debt than the club has ever been in
We have no major advertising income
We don’t make anything from shirt sales
We have a squad that has been decimated by the owner
We have more to money coming into the club than ever before but can only buy if we sell
How could we do worse than The Fat Man?
    Get Out Of Our Club

  • NottsToon

Toon Magpie Shut up you pen1s.

  • tino o

Ashley needs to know this isn’t good enough if people don’t make some kind of stand we will be putting up with this and worse for a long time to come

  • Toon Magpie

When their opinion overrides that of the individual to decide for themselves what to do then people have a right to be critical of that opinion. It is opinions not dictators we want at the club.

  • PhilYare

SGM I think in 6 months you will have changed your mind about that

  • NottsToon

And the fact that so many of our fans still need a cuddle and a pat on the head after 8 years of this sh1te is why we are divided.
What more does this utter scum bag have to do to make saving the club more worthwhile than their comfy seats?

  • Chemical Dave

You’re absolutely right SGM, we could do a lot worse than Ashley. You’re also right that carver could turn out to be worse than Fraudew. However, after 8 years, what is it that makes you happy to put your support in either. What do you think the club can possibly achieve? I don’t want to get personal but…. is this outlook what you’re like in your everyday life ? Its absolutely spineless. Do you stay in all day as going out might be a bit risky ? “Think I’ll work in McDonald’s all my life, things could be a lot worse”. Even my little laddie has more balls than you pal, what an utter surrender monkey.
