Haris Vuckic has Celtic in his sights, with his big ambition to score against them for Rangers next season.
The Newcastle loan player has accepted that his time at Newcastle is over and that he won’t be on Tyneside next season.
“I know I won’t be at Newcastle next season but I’m not sad because I’m focused on getting Rangers back into the top (Premier) league.
“If we achieve promotion then I hope that I am around next season for the new challenge. It is up to Rangers but I’m ready to sign up and to score against Celtic is my ambition.”
Even though he has a year left on his Newcastle contract, Vuckic definitely seems to have found a club in Rangers where he feels at home, gets regular football and is a success on the pitch.
In only 8 starts and a couple of sub appearances north of the border, Haris Vuckic has already scored 6 goals.
Ironic that despite the other 4 disastrous NUFC loan deals to Rangers, the one that has worked out has been an overwhelming success.
Whatever happens with Rangers I just hope Haris Vuckic comes out of it ok.
Seems a canny lad who is one of many to be messed around at Mike Ashley’s Newcastle United.
Almost certainly not good enough for the Premier League but the way United are run, just means many young players like Vuckic end up hanging around St. James’ Park for no good reason. When they should either be getting a chance at NUFC or heading off permanently to try their luck elsewhere.
