Moussa Sissoko has sent out a personal message to the fans.

Using his Twitter account, the Newcastle midfielder accepts it is a ‘hard situation’ at the minute but assures the fans that both he and the rest of the players are doing their best to change things.

How much weight Sissoko’s words will carry is open to question, considering he gave yet another shocking performance against Liverpool.

In addition, his Captain’s responsibility was cast aside, just like Fabricio Coloccini before him, by being sent off for a reckless over the top challenge, which means he misses these next two matches against Spurs and Swansea.

Moussa Sissoko also apologises to Lucas but no  mention of his petulant act of blasting the ball into the crowd after it was already well out of play.

Moussa Sissoko via Twitter:

“I never wanted to hurt Lucas or anyone else on a field, it was an unfortunate foul and I’m reassured to hear that he’s ok.”

“I’m conscient we’re living an hard situation for the team, the club and the fans but we give our best to turning things around!”

If people at the club managed and played as well as they talked we would be in the Champions League by now… air disease must be catching.

  • Keegan Nufc Leigh

He can stick that message he is supposed to lead by example as Captain same as Coloccini no leadership they don’t care relax now ok with ya beachballs and flip-flops it’s embarrassing

  • Toonbadger

    BULLS HIT lying b`stard

  • Malcolm Colledge

He can shove it where the sun don’t shine!

  • Stevie Aces Renforth

    Not good enough

  • A lex

More believable would be a message saying, “stuff this for a lark – I’m off!”

  • BillytheFish

You obviously watched a different game to me as I thought he was very good, box to box, aggressive and tried hard.
You also missed Johnson had him by the throat when he got his first yellow card when lesser people including me would have nutted him.
I agree the tackle on Lucas was worthy of a red card alone but do not accept your comment “shocking performance”
I was at the game and thought the lads gave everything, just came up short on quality.

  • Andgeo

    Utter crap! Imbecile …

  • whickhamrobbie

He obviously fancied a few weeks off to play with his big cars . We are an utter shambles as a club make no mistake I just hope we have enough already as I just cant see another point coming any time soon.
we were better than against the mackems but that’s not saying much

  • MilitantGeordie

Tell you what then Mr Sissoko. If you want to redeem yourself make sure you get your arse to training everyday during your suspension and when you get back on the pitch lead by example, start fighting the right way. Run your heart out and score some goals, prove you care about the fans or f#%k off in the summer.

  • GToon

To be fair he should never have been booked for the tussle with Johnson. He did nothing wrong – it was all Johnson. Then the second yellow wouldn’t count for much. It deserved a red though. Wonder why he did it. Frustration? Fed up? Wanting to leave? Season over in January annoying him?

  • Munich Mag

The bloke is fed up having to carry the team himself on his shoulders. At the same time he communicated about 1 million % more than that other bloke Collocini who has been at the club a lot longer than him…
Would like to see Sissoko playing with better players and for a manager who he believes in…

  • Jarra MIck

Hang on hang on there’s a lot on here seem to be defending him? He’s a Cnut just like that Cnut Collo. The pair of them can go fcuk off, neither give a flying fcuk about newcastle and how many times have we had these sickening apologies makes you want to vomit.

  • Consett Mag

It looked to me that he got himself deliberately sent off. I think he was trying for a straight red and a longer ban.
I’m not totally surprised though. Disappointed though.

  • Simon_barker_9

I think he pulled out of the 50-50 in order to not get hurt and went over the ball. Pathetic as a professional footballer, especially a lad of his size (against little Lucas). Go hard or go home son!

Sissoko has been poorly managed from the get go.
