Mick Quinn ‘Pulling on the black and white shirt should be an honour’

Which Mick Quinn says that pulling on a black and white shirt should be an honour, he sums up in a nutshell what is wrong at the club.

There is no honour throughout the club.

Starting from the owner and then down through Managing Director Lee Charnley, Manager/Head Coach John Carver, Captain Fabricio Coloccini and the players, exactly what is there to be proud of?

Mick Quinn speaking to the Chronicle:

“The players are a disgrace at the moment.

“It is a soulless place, it’s like a ghost ship right now.”

This lot don’t seem bothered:

“They’re sleepwalking into the Championship with performances like this and the worst part is they don’t seem to give two hoots.

“Pulling on the black and white shirt should be an honour but this lot don’t seem to be bothered and it is killing the fans.”

The whole lot of them need clearing out.

Which players do you really feel any affinity for? Which of them do you think actually care about the supporters and respect the vast fortunes they are earning for producing so little?

I bet most of the players who you think are decent people doing their best are either hopeless players such as Mike Williamson, or local kids like Adam Armstrong.

If our club was run differently at the top maybe the players would act like they gave a toss.

The way Swansea scored their third goal on Saturday was comical, as Alan Shearer said.

It was a good goal for the Welsh club but Swansea moved the ball the length of the pitch without a tackle being made.

It was basically a training ground exercise and for all the use they were, the Newcastle players could have been replaced by wheelie bins for all the resistance that they put up.

We need more people like Quinny who care about the club to speak out and keep the pressure on Mike Ashley, the fans need all the help they can to get him out of the club and to give Newcastle United a chance to regain a bit of ‘honour’ once again.
