John Carver ‘It’s our livelihoods and that’s what bothers me’
After failing to get the penalty decision at one goal down against Liverpool, John Carver declared after the final whistle that ‘It’s our livelihoods and that’s what bothers me’.
Lovren upended Ayoze Perez for what looked an easy decision for the referee but to no avail…
John Carver then typically exaggerating to cover up the numerous other shortcomings, claimed that for luck to even itself out, Newcastle should get 10 penalties in the remaining 6 matches.
“Then it came to the major decision and once again a major decision has gone against us.
“People will say you are always moaning that you don’t get them…well it’s incredible because even Brendan (Rodgers) said straight away ‘it’s a stonewall penalty’.”
“It is a bitter pill and what bothers me is that it is consistently over the last few weeks in particular. It’s not right and they say it works itself out over a season.
“Well if that is the case we should get 10 penalties from now until the end of the season.”
“It’s not right and I will have a chat with the FA guys and with the referee, they’ll agree with me and nothing will be done.
“It’s our livelihoods and that’s what bothers me.”
