John Carver says that he knows he can be successful at Newcastle United but just needs the ‘tools’ to do it.

The temporary.permanent Newacstle Head Coach says that despite only 2 wins in 14 matches he is enjoying the job, even though seem people might find that a little strange.

Pardew’s former assistant also claims that despite the poor results he is getting the best out of the current group of players…

Carver has been talking a lot about all the great players Mike Ashley has promised him that will be brought in this summer, so two questions to answer for starters.

Will Ashley provide the cash for the ‘tools’ and will John Carver be entrusted to ‘do the job’?

This was the question John Carver was asked at the pre-Spurs press conference and the answer that he gave:

‘You said this was your dream job, is it how you imagined it?’

“No, because I wanted to win every game.

“It’s something that I have enjoyed and that I am enjoying, You might think I am a little strange by saying that but the hardest thing is trying to pick yourself up after a defeat.”

Just need the tools:

“I take it personally but I am a professional and I have to get on with it, I know I can do the job, I just need the tools.

“I think I’m getting the best out of the group of people we have got.”

    He`s the Tool

If he’s getting the best out of the players we have then we are well and truly f**king doomed.

A bad workman always blames his tools !!!

  • No Brainer

I know a tool who played an (albeit adorable admirable)  has-bean left back at central midfield and  yes i could go on.

  • RexN

My grandmother always used to say “a bad workman always blames his tools”. In his case he has failed to blame the tools who run the club.

Well John we’ll give you a shovel dig us out of this shot!

  • scotty63

Well that encourages me no end. Give him the job right now I say, if he’s getting the best out of them then that’s all I need to know. Delusional.

  • Polarboy

Great motivational skills there John. Basically you are telling the current team they are only good enough to have won two game’s since the start of the year and that none of this is your fault, well done.

  • ilullissat

Why doesnt he have a word with the ‘maintenance man’that he allegedlly bumped into in the lift.He could borrow some tools off him.Failing that why doesnt he use the “tools” that are running the club

  • prestondave

Carver, you are a tool. First class tool.

  • NottsToon

Polarboy This was also my thought, rough translation being “what do you expect me to do with this pile of sh1t I have to work with, never mind though lads as Uncle Mike is buying me loads of new tools for being a good boy in the summer holidays, honest”.

  • Sickandtiredstill

When will he ever just shut up? The team that was good enough when he stepped in, and needed no additions, now isn’t up to it. Aye, just like upstairs, it’s all someone else’s fault.

“You might think I am a little strange by saying that but the hardest thing is trying to pick yourself up after a defeat.” What the hell does he think we have been doing as a result of his performances?

Sorry to say, but it sounds very much like he’s being lined up for next season as well.

When I hear him, tool is one of the words which springs to mind

  • Demented_Man

PeterRobson I hear, if he’s appointed permanently, he’s going to start work on his Doctor of Idiocy degree.  It requires a particularly high standard of weekly drivel, but I’m sure he’s up to it.

  • mrkgw

Carver is a deluded idiot. Supporters overwhelmingly do not want him and he has to go.

  • amacdee

How many games do we have to lose, how badly do we have to play, how far down the league do we have to slide before he thinks he isn’t doing a good job?
