Haris Vuckic has only started eight matches so far for Rangers but looks a class above this level.

The Newcastle midfielder/striker scored his sixth goal for the on-loan club this afternoon.

Leading by a Kenny Miller goal, Haris Vuckic made it 2-0 for Rangers in the 38th minute against a Hearts side who have already won the second tier.

However, a Lee McCulloch sending off for fighting only two minutes before half-time led to the Newcastle loan player being sacrificed at the break, as Rangers rearranged their ten man team.

Rangers eventually held on for a 2-1 win and now look all but assured of second spot and prime position in the end of season play-offs.

The Scottish Premier League could be a good fit for Haris Vuckic as he isn’t good enough for the English equivalent, but the dire Scottish Championship is surely too low for him if Rangers end up stuck there for at least another season.

helloIamBesty NUFCTheMag Thank god I read the article. I was as concerned as Besty. Surely subbing is better than a religious ceremony

I think it´s a bit unfair to label him as not good enough for the English Premier League !!

Going by past players who didn´t  fit under “Im better than Mourihno and Wenger” Pardew and are now enjoying success under competent leadership, I would give him another crack, just not under the current Mr Motivator we´re lumbered with !!!

Another player Pardew decided he didn’t like and never given a chance

Wonder if NUFC are thinking how well he is doing so he will come back a better player or just looking at his value going up so they can sell him.

Why do you say Vuckic isn’t good enough for the premier , when he never gets a chance, and if that lot who played on Sunday are better than him , he must be very poor. !!

Agreed, this Lad hasn’t been given the chance and in his early 20’s (same as Perez!) shouldn’t be written off. Touted a few years back as one of Europe’s most promising players he should be given a chance. Pre season starts and/or an impact substitute during next season at the VERY least.
