Fans choice of Newcastle team v Sunderland

Thanks to everybody who helped us come up with our fans choice of the Newcastle team v Sunderland.

Using our interactive feature,  NUFC team selector, we asked you to choose your preferred formation and starting eleven.

You can still do the same by following the simple instructions HERE and then there are a number of great options where you can then also share your team via Twitter (include @nufcthemag in your tweet and we will share some of them with our 13k+ followers) , or you can share the selector on Facebook with friends, family and the rest of the black and white world.

However, the fans choice overall so far for team selection and formation is below.

The main factors coming out of the feedback from supporters, is that firstly they want to see Newacstle on the front foot instead of defending deep as John Carver usually does, just like Alan Pardew before him.

So despite his disappointing form, Emmanuel Riviere is chosen to start up front, with Cabella and Perez in support.

Jack Colback (click HERE to see the ‘tribute’ banner produced by Sunderland fans) is an overwhelming choice to play, but in his favoured midfield spot, rather than wasted at full-back.

Then to fill the gap in defence, Jonas Gutierrez was the most popular selection.

To use our NUFC team selector, simply follow the simple instructions HERE.

When using the NUFC team selector you simply click on what team formation (4-3-3, 4-4-2 etc) you want, then click each position on the pitch and choose from the Newcastle United squad.

Go to the NUFC team selector now and choose and share your own team selection v Sunderland.

Before every match, simply go to the menu at the top of this screen and click features, then on the drop down list click NUFC Team Selector and choose your team for every match.
