Who do you think should be in the Newcastle team v Arsenal?

Siem de Jong, Facundo Ferreyra, Paul Dummett, Mehdi Abeid, Curtis Good, Steven Taylor, Cheick Tiote, Rolando Aarons, Fabricio Coloccini, Papiss Cisse and Massadio Haidara are all unavailable.

I predict the line-up and formation below could give Arsenal a game, with a bit of luck…:

The only other senior outfield players who appear to be available are Yoan Gouffran, Jonas Gutierrez and Sammy Ameobi, as well as youngsters such as Satka and Armstrong.

To create the image above I used the NUFC team selector.

You can do the same by following the simple instructions HERE and then there are a number of great options where you can then also share your team via Twitter (include @nufcthemag in your tweet and we will share some of them with our 13k+ followers) , or you can share the selector on Facebook with friends, family and the rest of the black and white world. Alternatively, simply downloading the team image to the device you are using

When using the NUFC team selector you simply click on what team formation (4-3-3, 4-4-2 etc) you want, then click each position on the pitch and choose from the Newcastle United squad.

Go to the NUFC team selector now and choose and share your Newcastle team v Arsenal.

Before every match, simply go to the menu at the top of this screen and click features, then on the drop down list click NUFC Team Selector and choose your team for every match.

    Aw wow wull wup them!

We have little or no choice to go 3 at the back but there’s a major
change in emphasis for the back three and the “wing backs”and I’m really
unsure Carver knows how to go about effecting this ? Having said that
I’d give Sammi the nod over Squidward as he has slightly more grasp of defending.
I’d use Janmaat as the RWB with Cabs supporting Perez. Which
unfortunately means either Anita as RCB and Kemen in the middle or Satka
as one of the back three but hey we’re going get humped anyway ?

Interesting selection Graham. Carver’s limited in what he can do so it’s worth a go, though our record over the years in playing 3 at the back isn’t good. I’m concerned about Raylor as I thought he pulled out of a couple of tackles last week but there’s not a lot of choice. I hope for the best whilst fearing the worst. HTL

Not bad but Riviere is terrible.  I’d rather have anyone out there but him, including young Armstrong.  People have been saying he’s too young to throw on, it’s asking too much of him, but do they forget he has first team experience?  For what it’s worth I would still go with:

    Taylor Satka Janmaat Jonas
            Colback  Anita
    Cabella                    Ameobi

Wasn’t it Arsene who said if you don’t start at 19 you’ll never start?

    Gouff will start

That team has to be a joke !

We can’t lose Janmaat’s ability at right back so I think we have to start with Satka for the next 3 games.

SGM Sadly we all know this !

Jimmywayhay No the joke is this club and the fans who allow this shlte to happen inluding me and you !.

I have no faith in Carver but what he has to do is give the players the confidence that he has a plan to take Arsenal down. Players with their confidence high can perform miracles. Same old same old gets what you deserve.

THIS is exactly (besides Anita, read below) a formation they should put on the field. First, Arsenal should be more tired than us, so going at them and trying to make their players tired would seem a logical thing to do. Second, I just wish NOT to see Gouffy on the pitch (no offence to him as a person!). Last week with 10 men against Everton we actually managed to be better than them with Cabella and Perez and Guti coming on!

So Carver, c’mon, put up an offensive and decent squad on the pitch and have a go at it!!

But I would have Anita replaced with Guti though. He just seemed a lot faster than before he left the club for his treatment, and he was actually the best player on the pitch, working his butt off as usual and almost coming off of the pitch with a killer assist.
